BASTROP: Water clear. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp, liver, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

CANYON LAKE: Water clear 85 degrees 5.91 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on JDC Skip-N-Pop topwaters, watermelon Whacky Sticks, and Texas rigged blue flake worms in flooded bushes and grass banks at sunrise and all day under cloud cover, and on drop shot Devil’s Tongues along break lines and ledges. Striped bass are fair trolling Gizz 4 crankbaits over and around humps and jigging 1oz. Pirk Minnows at daylight. White bass are slow. Smallmouth bass are fair on smoke JDC grubs and 3/16oz. pumpkin Curb’s jigs with matching JDC craw trailers in 12-25 feet early. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are good on live bait.

COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) Water stained. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Catfish are good on trotlines baited with perch, and from the bank on rod and reel baited with perch.

FAYETTE: Water clear 95 degrees. Black bass are fair on shad colored swim baits, Zara Spooks, and Carolina rigged soft plastics in 14-18 feet. Channel and blue catfish are fair on juglines baited with cut shad.

LBJ: Water stained 86 degrees 0.42 feet low. Black bass are fair on watermelon Curb’s jigs and perch colored crankbaits in 6-15 feet, and flipping green pumpkin tubes and Texas rigged flukes at docks and laydowns. Striped bass are fair on Li’l Fishies at night. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies at night. Crappie are good on Curb’s crappie jigs and live minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on liver and dipbait. Yellow and blue catfish are very good on trotlines baited with goldfish and perch.

SOMERVILLE: Water murky 86 degrees 1.54 feet low. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Perch are excellent on worms. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on trotlines and juglines baited with cut shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

TRAVIS: Water clear 84 degrees 16.62 feet low. Black bass to 5 pounds are fair on chrome chuggers and red shad worms in 18-35 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on chrome chuggers and silver spoons in 5-25 feet. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish to 6 pounds are good on nightcrawlers and cut shad in 28-35 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

AMISTAD: Water clear 80 degrees 17.91 feet low. Black bass are very good on shad colored deep diving jigs, spinnerbaits, and on topwaters early. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Catfish are fair on cheesebait. Yellow catfish are slow. Mexican fishing licenses are required to fish Mexican waters. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexican fishing license whether fishing or not. Mexican boat permits are no longer required.

CALAVERAS: Water stained 87 degrees. Black bass are good on dark soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits over reed beds and near the dam. Striped bass are good on spoons and striper jigs near the dam and the crappie wall in 15-20 feet, and on chicken livers and shad along the shoreline. Redfish are excellent down rigging silver and gold spoons and live bait along the crappie wall and the dam in 10-20 feet, on crawfish and tilapia along the shorelinetrestle and 181 Cove.

CHOKE CANYON: Water lightly stained 93 degrees 3.19 feet low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and large soft plastics early and late, and on crankbaits and Carolina rigged soft plastics in the grass. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Drum are fair on nightcrawlers. Channel and blue catfish are good on punchbait. Y

COLETO CREEK: Water clear 90 degrees (98 degrees at discharge) 3.07’ low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
