Then recently he approached my sister who was alone and told him she couldn't help him and then was telling me the story and telling me how sorry she felt that she hadn't helped but I told her not to worry because it was a scam. A physical rampage that clearly was the result of anger issues. Find help for HER. Get her to control her anger in a healthy way. I'm not saying she shouldn't be punished, but Jesus, how many times are we going to prolong the personal growth of our youth if we can just pull them out of the school and ignore the rights this child has to learn from her mistakes? This teacher made no mistake and she knows what could happen in the classroom otherwise they wouldn't have to train her to diffuse such situations. I just don't like the way this article is perpetuating the simple idea that a kid got angry and hurt a teacher. Kids will continue to act up because their parents aren't teaching them appropriate and classy behavior. It's not up to a teacher to wield guns at kids to inflict discipline. It's up to the parents of bad ass kids to get their stuff together and teach their children how to behave in a school; in a classroom and how to treat their elders. If it is about food they will get there. I have bought several of our resident homeless burgers at the Sonic next door when Renegade Church was in the old Aaron Rents building on Navarro. Others when they came in asking for money to get something to eat got mad and left when I told them I would pay them to sweep out our back store room or instead of giving them cash I would go next door and buy them a burger.
