  • Sounds as though the need of a new school bus driver is imminent!!!!!

  • School bus drivers' pay is abysmal, especially when we entrust them with the safety of so many children. I don't even think they get benefits.

  • tnt88- very good point! Also the driver of the truck may not have expected the bus to back up and was not paying attention until it was to late. He was probably to close also. I wish Vic Ad will follow up on this accident. There may be a lawsuit or two filed on this case. I want to know who was in the wrong and how much was paid especially if the city has to pay with tax dollars.

  • @ Jack when a bus is backing up "a few hundred feet " the bus is going to be moving pretty fast ...

  • @ tnt88 >>>>The bus just dropped off a kid and usually backs up a few hundred feet to turn around on the highway......

The problem is that the driver of the bus and the school officials need to figure a different route than to back a FEW HUNDRED FEET to a busy hiway . If they dont want to be hit with a big Lawsuit

the school need to ansewer alot of questions ..

  • The truck was driving down the same road as the bus when the driver saw the bus backing up. He put his truck in reverse, honked, blinked the lights, and could hear the kids screaming for the bus driver to stop. The bus driver never slowed until it hit the truck. If my kid was on the bus, I would have a lot of questions for the bus driver

  • Sounds like the pick up was to close to the back of the bus , out of rear view of the driver.
