HOT JULY

The historical average high temperature in Victoria for July is 93.4 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Statistics show 2011 to be hotter than normal. In July 2011:

The average high temperature was 99.4.

The hottest day was the 18th when it reached 103. The lowest high was 96 on the 10th and the 29th.

The temperature reached 100 degrees or higher on 16 days, including five in a row July 24-28.

All 31 days reached at least 90 degrees.

There was only 0.57 of an inch of rain.
