• It would be interesting to know the legality of a hidden camara in a public office. I can understand the video monitor but that is very obvious. This was hidden. If it was a tape recorder I know it is illegal unless all parties know they are being recorded.

Maybe the Victoria Advocate should be a bit more investigative in thier reporting and worry less about who has the best Pom Poms.

  • So there is no restroom at all? I would think any restroom would be better to change in than the lobby? Would also like to know what the "false" reasons were for her firing.

  • This was an old story, only resurfacing because of the lawsuit. Everything was explained in the past. Check this article, it explains it a bit more.

  • I applaud Guillen for going forward with this lawsuit, more so I applaud the attorney for taking the case. Things like this happen far too often and it is very difficult to find an attorney that will represent you. I am not "sue happy", but there are times when it needs to happen. Government is so corrupt.

  • So, hard hitting VA staff, did you ask "why was the camera in the speaker?" No, apparently you did not. We (the non-pervert citizens) would really like to know what legitimate reason a county commissioner could have for putting cameras in speakers next to county computers. Let's try a little harder to put ADA Sayler to a quote. What is the defense the county will use?

Just a little bit more work, VA staff, please???

  • 100% politician. Sad thing is he just a commissioner, not like he is anything really. Why didn't he just fire everyone when he got in there, and then rehire who he wanted rather than going through all of this to find a reason to fire her, would have prevented a law suit, but then again, we are talking about Calhoun politicians.
