Holt Cat, the Caterpillar Equipment and Engine dealer for South, Central, North and North East Texas named Todd Loudon Product Support Sales Representative for the Victoria area.
Loudon is responsible for promoting Holt Cat equipment parts and service support to customers in Victoria and the surrounding area. Loudon received a degree in construction management from Sam Houston State University and has eight years of construction industry estimating and management experience.
Loudon served in the United States Navy, completing three tours of duty in the Gulf. He resides in Hallettsville with his wife and three daughters.
Eric Ray will join the staff at Victoria College serving as the Museum of the Coastal Bend's new curator starting Aug. 15.
Most recently, Ray worked as a researcher with the city of Corpus Christi where he began as a collections assistant. He has also worked on the tall ship "Royaliste" as a first mate and educator. Ray holds a Master in Maritime Archaeology from East Carolina University and a bachelor's degree from St. John's College. Ray's first project as curator will be to oversee the expansion of the Museum of the Coastal Bend's La Salle Odyssey Exhibit, set to open in the fall of 2013.
Kaye Shook recently joined Victoria College's Admissions and Records Office as an admissions analyst. Prior to working at VC, Shook worked at the University of Houston-Victoria in Student Solutions answering phone calls and giving tours at the university.
She has also worked for AH Marketing at Western Beverages. Shook graduated from Victoria College with an Associate of Arts last year and intends to complete an Associate of Science at the end of this year. She is also working to finish a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology at UHV.
Susan Akin recently began working as a receptionist and proctor in the Testing Office at Victoria College. Before joining VC, Akin was a personal banker at Wells Fargo. She is currently enrolled at Victoria College and intends to pursue an Associate degree in professional office technology.
Christina Vargas is now working as a part-time admissions analyst in Victoria College's Admissions and Records Office. Prior to joining VC, Vargas worked as a student success facilitator at Howell Middle School.
She has also worked as a teacher at Northside Baptist Church and is currently a children's pastor at Victoria New Life Assembly. Vargas has attended college at Wharton County Junior College and is continuing her education at Victoria College with plans to eventually transfer to complete a Bachelor's degree at the University of Houston-Victoria.
