  • Watch out nlj...that type of talk got Steven Wayne Smith whacked in the 2004 Republican Primaries for Supreme Court Justice. If educational accomplishments are the deciding factor in November, Mrs. Morrison should probably start cleaning out her Capitol office right now. She apparently cares very little about education as she has very little herself and she voted to cut billions from education in Texas. She is just plain pitiful.

  • “We should want leaders of whom we can be proud of their accomplishments and who want us all to aspire to our greatest possibilities, not college dropouts who attempt to eliminate a decent education for our children.”

The woman you’re denigrating IS a SUCCESSFUL parent who’s raised children that went on to finish their higher education – being a responsible parent and supportive wife of a successful businessman instead of a common ambulance chaser is nothing to be ashamed about.

Being an attorney is also nothing to be ashamed about; however, graduating from a second tier law school and chasing ambulances is not nearly as accomplished as a proven parent and housewife whose children ARE more accomplished than Hernandez. Morrison’s son is also an attorney, but doesn’t chase ambulances. Morrison graduated from law school at UT. Hernandez didn’t despite doing his undergraduate work there and that probably had a great deal to do with his undergraduate performance and LSAT scores – apparently, he had to go to a private, more expensive, less discriminating law school.

Is Morrison blindly in love with oil and gas companies and towing the party line despite any possible negative consequences for the majority of her constituents – perhaps, but at least she’s predictable. Hernandez seems to be a self-professed bottom-feeding ambulance chaser who couldn’t get into a top tier law school – that’s really all we know about him. Well, that and the fact that he needs a haircut.

  • Incumbents take the credit for improving economies. Just as Obama will take credit his his improving economy. Mrs. Morrison should take credit for hers. Victoria is booming at unprecedented levels. We are at full employment. In fact there is already a labor shortage. Eagle Ford Shale, Caterpillar, etc. What more could you want. Victoria is paradise right now, so how could anyone say that she has not done anything. I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

  • Joe Bob, I doubt that is true, but I will go along with your statement. But that is what conservatives like for our government to do for us NOTHING!!!!. Mrs. Morrison has my support and in case you haven't noticed, running on the democratic ticket for local races is an excercise in futility.

  • Jeannie Morrison has done nothing for the crossroads in years. When she is in Austin, she just votes by party lines with complete disregard for her constituents, It's time for a change...........

  • Geanie Morrison is not even a college graduate. Maybe that is the foundation for her lack of respect of education and her vote to gut billions of dollars from Texas public education. Alex Hernandez has advanced degrees and is a successful attorney and businessman. We should want leaders of whom we can be proud of their accomplishments and who want us all to aspire to our greatest possibilities, not college dropouts who attempt to eliminate a decent education for our children. Good riddance Geanie. I won't be dreaming of you. SUPPORT ALEX HERNANDEZ FOR OUR FUTURE.

  • Morrison has pretty much been furniture - she doesn't do much but she has earned a nice pension when she retires which should be now.

Alex Hernandez has more energy and ability and is just a better choice.

  • the day we can rid the state of this modern day 'texas republican' party will be a great day for this state.

  • Ms> Morrison needs to stay at home and take care of her "ill family member" so that she can continue to HOLD ON to her FAMILY VALUES!
How selfish she is to run... when her POOR FAMILY MEMBER NEEDS HER HELP. No core values. No moral compass. Just a whole LOT of makeup.

  • I’d much rather have a Junior League housewife representing this district than an ambulance chaser – I’m not fond of either one, but I can watch Hernandez’s television ads and those of his former mentor, San Antonio personal injury lawyer Wayne Wright, to kind of figure out where his priorities lie and I really don’t like what I see.

So, “Vote Morrison – the lesser of two evils.” If anyone wants to form a super PAC and run that slogan on billboards, I’m in!
