VISD educators honored by peers
The Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association honored two educators in the Victoria school district.
Leandra Hill, of F.W. Gross Montessori School, was named District 3 Assistant Principal of the Year.
The peer-based award recognizes assistant principals for their commitment to student learning as evidenced by exceptional school leadership.
Dionne Hughes, coordinator of assessment and accountability at VISD, was named the District 3 TEPSA member of the year.
Members from the 20 TEPSA Districts across the state annually recognize a colleague for their outstanding service to the association.
Honorees will be recognized at the TEPSA Awards Banquet June 13, at the Austin Renaissance Hotel.
TEPSA, whose hallmark is educational leaders learning with and from each other, has served Texas pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade school leaders since 1917.
Member-owned and member governed, TEPSA has more than 5,800 members who direct the activities of more than 2.5 million school children.
