Heather McMinn will serve Lavaca, Gonzales and Guadalupe counties four more years as district attorney for the 25th judicial district.
With slightly more than 50 percent of the vote, McMinn gained the Republican Party nomination over her opponent, Patricia Finch. Both are lawyers from Seguin.
Though she lost Lavaca and Gonzales counties, votes in Guadalupe county were enough to secure McMinn the win by about 150 votes over Finch.
McMinn will not have a Democratic opponent in the general election.
This will be McMinn's second term.
In her campaign for re-election, she touted an 83 percent trial conviction rate and vowed strong sentences for sex offenders and drug dealers.
McMinn did not return requests for comment Tuesday night.
The vote tallies for the three counties are:
Lavaca: McMinn, 728, Finch, 943.
Gonzales: McMinn, 484, Finch, 798.
Guadalupe: McMinn, 5,397, Finch, 4,716.
