Lauren Lee Joines and Travis Craig Hawes, of Victoria, were married at 9:30 p.m. on August 4, 2012 at The Mirage Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Justice of the Peace, Dr. Michelina D. Hecht, of Las Vegas, officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Joines. She is the granddaughter of Ruby Terhune, of Harlingen, the late Lt. Col. Claude Mitchell Terhune, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Carl Joines.
The groom is the son of Marie Hawes, of Victoria, and Mark and Maxine Hawes, of Victoria. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn C. Goldman, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Pat Hawes.
Angela Henry, of Victoria, attended as matron of honor. Loren Wakham, of Austin, attended as maid of honor. Ariel Harper Bradshaw, of Houston, attended as flower girl, and escorted the bride down the aisle.
Lucas Hawes, of Victoria, served as best man. Lyn Goldman, of Katy, served as groomsman.
A poolside, cocktail, reception was held following the ceremony. The couple honeymooned in Hawaii, and will reside in Victoria.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Victoria Memorial High School, a 2008 graduate of Houston Baptist University with a BA in Sociology and Child Development, and a May 2013 graduate candidate of Texas Tech University with a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling. Lauren is currently employed at Victoria College as the Program Coordinator for the Lifelong Learning Program.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of St. Joseph High School and a 2008 graduate of Texas State University with a BS in Industrial Technology. Travis is currently employed as a Petroleum Landman with OGM.
