Letter from the GC editor
The August/September issue marked our third anniversary. But don't worry, you didn't miss any cake or ice cream. Instead, I was busy working with the editors to bring you this new and improved October/November issue of The Magazine of the Golden Crescent. Can you believe we're 3 now? Isn't it amazing how time flies when you're hard at work and having fun?
When you pick up this issue of The Magazine of the Golden Crescent, you may notice some changes. We've revamped a few things to bring you a better publication, and we will continue to make this magazine your guide to what's happening in the Golden Crescent.
Some of the changes include the way we cover the Top 5 features. Instead of the long profile, the features will have tidbits of information straight from the source to give you a glimpse of who they are.
The magazine will include a wider coverage of what is going on across the entire Golden Crescent, from Shiner to the Guadalupe River Delta in Seadrift. Our area offers everything from fun festivals to one-of-a-kind shops, where the gifts are as unique as the people behind the counter.
Stay with us as we mold to suit the lifestyles here in the Golden Crescent. We're working hard to bring you more of what you want.
Send your story ideas or questions about the area to me, because chances are if you're asking, there is someone else who is curious about it, too. Also, if you go out to a local event with a group of friends or family, send us your photos and we'll fit them into our Faces&Places section.
Thanks for celebrating three years with us. Here's to working another year for you - our friends, neighbors and families.
