Zimmerman trial was not about standing ground

The trial of Zimmerman was not about "Stand Your Ground;" it was about self-defense. Zimmerman was defending himself when Trayvon Martin came out of the dark and attacked him. He knocked Zimmerman to the ground and was beating his head into the concrete sidewalk when Zimmerman took the only way out, which was to shoot Martin. I would have done the same. I think anyone in fear for their life would have done the same.
Yes, Zimmerman did follow Martin, but he didn't attack him; Martin attacked Zimmerman. Martin wasn't standing his ground; he was invading someone else's ground.
