A Victoria woman was injured in a wreck at the intersection of Main and Red River streets Wednesday morning.

Angelita Hernandez, 58, was treated and released from DeTar Hospital Navarro, a hospital spokeswoman said at about 3 p.m.

Hernandez was transported by ambulance after her gray Dodge Charger was struck at 11:22 a.m., said Herschel Buck, a traffic safety officer with the Victoria Police Department.

Hernandez was driving west on Red River Street when a white Ford Explorer headed north on Main Street ran the stoplight, hitting her vehicle, Buck said.

Kristin O'Brien, 21, of Victoria, drove the Explorer.

Buck did not issue any citations, and police directed traffic until the scene was cleared.
