Woman in critical condition after Tuesday night wreck
A Victoria woman remained in critical condition at Citizens Medical Center after she was ejected from a vehicle during a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday night.
April Partida Cisneros, 20, was carrying her 14-month-old daughter in her lap at the time of the wreck. Both were ejected from the vehicle because they were not wearing a seat belt, according to a Victoria Police Department news release.
Cisneros was in a Chevrolet TrailBlazer, driven by Ricardo Cisneros, 24, of Victoria, traveling west in the turn lane of Port Lavaca Highway.
Ricardo Cisneros, failing to yield the right of way, attempted to turn onto Pleasant Green Drive and was struck by a Ford F-150 traveling east on the Port Lavaca Highway.
The driver of the truck, Samuel Esquivel, 56, of Victoria, was not injured.
The 14-month-old was treated and released from Citizens Medical Center, said Sgt. Eline Moya with the Victoria Police Department.
Two children in the back seat of the TrailBlazer, ages 2 and 4, and Josh Nunez, 28, of Victoria, were also transported to area hospitals, but were treated and released.
The wreck is still under investigation, Moya said.
