Six escape serious injury in rollover crash
Six people in a Chevrolet Suburban were not seriously injured when it crashed and rolled over early Sunday morning.
About 1:05 a.m. the Suburban, driven by Juan Diego Perez, 18, of Rosebud, south on U.S. Highway 77 near Tate Road, began to drift off the road to the right.
Perez turned the wheel sharply to the left and lost control, said Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Trooper Gerald Bryant.
"The vehicle rolled over and came to rest in the southbound ditch upside down," Bryant said.
Two of the passengers, Raquel Perez, 15, and Coral Rubio, 38, were taken by Victoria Fire Department Emergency Medical Services ambulance to DeTar Hospital Navarro. They were treated and released, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
The other passengers, Juan Apolo Perez, 43, Gorge Luis Perez, 9, and Saul Resendes, 12, all of Rosebud, were treated at the scene.
All were wearing seat belts, Bryant said.
The crash was investigated by DPS Trooper Mario Gonzalez.
