Had 132 cows and 19 bulls. The packer market settled down a little from previous two weeks but remains fairly steady. Hot, dry, extreme weather is causing more to head to market.

The calf market was steady with last week's market. This makes the fourth week in a row with prices holding strong. Market is very active in all classes. Good solid market across all classes of calves. A very favorable crop report on corn has added strength to the market.

Packer bulls: Heavy weights, $90-$101; lower grades, $70-$89.

Packer cows: breakers, $65-$70; boning cows, $65-$79; canners and cutters, $69-$87; light and weak, $40-$54.

Palpated dry cows (26 bred cows): $92-$109; four pairs: $850-$1,200.
