The Victoria Police Department's special crimes unit and SWAT team members executed a search warrant in the 2100 block of Sabine Street about 6:50 p.m. Thursday, said Sgt. Eline Moya, spokeswoman for the department.

At least two people were handcuffed during the incident, but no official arrests had been made as of 9:30 p.m., Moya said.

Residents in the area said they heard explosions and police busting into the house. Officers also closed the 2100 block of Sabine Street for several hours at the intersection of Ben Jordan Street.

Officers checked the front yard and backyard of the house, the trash cans, a vehicle and inside the house.

Crime scene technicians also carried boxes out of the house.

Moya said the incident was an ongoing investigation, so she could not release additional information late Thursday.
