Goliad school bus collides with vehicle after Veterans Day event
A Monday morning collision involving a Goliad school bus sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries.
A bus carrying 42 people was headed north on Chilton Street, returning to Goliad High School following a Veterans Day event, Goliad County Sheriff Kirby Brumby said. The bus, driven by the school's band director, Jason Howard, stopped at a stop sign about 11:30 a.m.
At that point, a vehicle driven by a teenager turned south from North Street and collided with the bus. Brumby said he did not have the name of the driver.
Brumby said he thought the teen was transported to Christus Spohn Hospital in Beeville.
No one on the school bus reported injuries.
