Reader thanks man for helping mom
Editor, the Advocate:
I would like to thank the wonderful man who noticed my 93-year-old mother wandering around the Walgreen's parking lot Aug. 17 at 9:30 in the evening. He assessed the situation, assumed she had wandered away and returned her to the nursing home, unscathed and unharmed.
The staff had her on a very tight observation because she had left the building in the past; and for her age, she can move more quickly than most would expect. They were being very watchful, but in the blink of an eye, she managed to slip out. It is unimaginable what the outcome might have been without what must have been an angel to help her. God bless you.
