Oceans For Emotions: Run that ye might obtain
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
- II Timothy 4:7
I truly enjoyed watching the close of the 2014 Winter Olympics. As in any competitions, everyone comes to compete with high expectations, all to demonstrate the best of their abilities.
When the bay front was not good for fishing because of too much wind, I think I watched enough of the games to ensure my philosophy that even competition at the highest level is ruled by little things. Some of these little things were like someone barely crossing the finish line before someone else or having a skate that comes untied, which cancels four years of practice. These little things can keep them from their goal, "the gold."
The Olympians must work for four more years to strive to reach perfection before the next games start.
One thing we know about the bay front is that it is always changing, and there will always be fish if we take care of our environment, so run that ye may obtain.
I think I heard a great big God voice come from above and say, "The reds are running near the mud and grass. Fish there."
Dear Lord, Thank You Heavenly coach! Let's go fish behind the Indianola Fishing Marina.
Oceans for Emotions would make a great Father's Day present for just $10. Call The Victoria Advocate for more information.
