Georgia Mary Wendt

EL CAMPO - Georgia Mary Wendt, 98 of El Campo, passed away on May 4, 2013. She was born on March 25, 1915 in Weimer to the late George and Pauline Fries Sciba. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court 1374.
She is survived by her daughters Georgia Carson of San Angelo, Jeanette Parker (Arnold) of Victoria, Mary Ann Derrich (Ed) of Matagorda, Linda Kana (Dan) of Needville, Suzanne Leopold of Houston, son Tom Wendt (Jeanna) of Spring, grandchildren Katie Kirking (Lew), Jim Carson (Stacy), Mary Lou Bledsoe (Chuck), Polly Trudo (Dave), Debbie Linley (Doug), Keith Parker (Annette), Kenneth Parker (Bridget), Denise Murray (Blaise), Dawn Parker, Wendy Whitt (Tim), Deanna Hudgeons (Randy), Paul Derrich (Kay), Jeff Kana, Tim Kana (Tiffany),Stacey Herndon, Clint Leopold, Dustin Leopold (Stacey), Ryan Wendt (Kelley), Eric Wendt (Cassie), Cameron Wendt (Lindsey), 33 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Emil "Cookie" Wendt and son-in-law Paul Carson.
Visitation will begin at 2pm on Sunday at Triska Funeral Home. Catholic Daughter Rosary will be 2:30 pm on Monday, May 6, 2013, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church followed by the Funeral Mass at 3 pm with Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers and granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorial donations may be made to St. Philip School Endowment Fund or Houston Hospice-El Campo.
