ROSALEE YVONNE BROWN
VICTORIA - Rosalee Yvonne Brown, 88, of Victoria, formerly of Port Lavaca, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. She was born December 18, 1924 in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Vernia Kennedy and Geneva Herthel Kennedy. She was a beloved wife of 62 years to Roy O. Brown, mother, mamaw, sister, and friend.
She married Roy O. Brown on June 1, 1944 and moved to Port Lavaca in 1959. She was a gifted seamstress and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her son, Vaughn Brown of Victoria; daughter, Vicki Placker (Charles) of Victoria; sister, Judith Kennedy of Corydon, Indiana; step-sister, Evelyn Windell; grandchildren, Monica Watkins (Ken of Cambell, Calif. and Charlsa Placker of Dallas; and great-grand-dogs, Daisy and Idgy.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother; and husband.
Rosalee asked that her body be donated to Baylor University College of Medicine for medical research. A memorial will be held at a later date.
