My deepest sympathies to you and yours Aprill. I had hero like her too. Your title ( here on line) is my favorite. It hits a promising fly- ball. The last paragraph turns it all onto a worthy home run! That Pulitzer show up yet?I'm sure the mail is just slow. Thanks for warming my Sunday morning like few writers can.

Congrats to the college kid! And congrats the the awesome teacher he had at home!Great job Rebecca!
Now that's a laugh I really needed! I have to figure out how to program the central air in the new house!
It's good to be almost done with the move and even better to be able to get in here and make a post (or 2)! The new place has a creek nearby where I know cougars have been known to roam. (trust me. I saw a large one some yeras ago.)A new park is under construction and there are only two trips to the storage place left to do. Here's to good old memories and the prospects for making new ones!Cheers!
There's no place like TEXAS! Great music, every one of them. That last line is so true!
I fully understand your philosophy Johnathony. (and I have destroyed a guitar or two in my time.) Tae-Kwon-Do was my martial art. My older brother Elvin taught me that along with meditation. The meditation was the "yin", and the Martial art was of course the "yang".
A longtime endeavor of mine is to tweak a guitar tone from an amp that matches the sound of a ciccaida. I've come close in the past but no cigars yet.
Thanks for the suggestion. It opens a few more doors I had not thought to try!
I'd have to become extremely oppurtunistic. I might have to dig deep to make legitimate barter.Famillies would become stronger as those who could not or would not pull their weight would be left to fend for themselves.
The possibility of our situation evolving into such a state becomes more and more real each day.
Water, food, fish hooks and tackle, bullets and gunpowder, Those would be high on my list of things I would barter for. As for what I could offer,,, the situation would generally dictate that.
I'm so tempted to run out and buy the sauce and scoops! I love spicy food!
Now that is a very nobel/noble cause! The world needs more of these places!
My lsit is an endless one Jared. It contains many of the things on yours as well. I say wear the ribbon with pride Bro! It all started with a song many years ago about an old oak tree. It has blossomed into a din of human expression that needs no words to get the point across. It represents acknowledgment and hope as well as many other things.
