Tonight I covered one of the National Night Out events in Victoria at Salem Village Apartments. The event was filled with the usual: delicious looking food, a bounce house and some really cute kids. What I did not expect to find was a camera thief. After hanging out for a while the kids started to warm up to me and 9-year-old Noah Connor decided to walk up in front of me and rather boldly take my camera for a spin.

I have to admit, he's not too bad considering that he didn't even look through the viewfinder. The kid can shoot from the hip with the best of them. Especially with a bit of a crop.

Thank you to Salem Village Apartments and the Victoria Police Department and Victoria Civilian Police Academy for a fun time this evening, even if I did get my camera briefly commandeered by an elementary school kid.

P.S. Noah came back for a second round a few minutes after snapping the last frame. If I decide to train Noah officially, our next lesson will be focusing.
