If there's one thing I've learned from my four years as business reporter here in Victoria, it's that small-business owners have some great stories.
I've heard everything from opening day rushes that took owners by surprise to ... um ... interesting customer requests. (Read: a balloon sculpture in the shape of a toilet and plunger.)
Did you know the Advocate's Sunday Your Money section has a feature that highlights these stories and other bits of small businesses' histories?
The Q&A-style piece, called "Your Money, Your Business," allows business owners to tell how they started up, their favorite memories, what they hope to see for their businesses in the future and more.
Also, it's free. Can't beat that.
I've got plenty of forms, both electronic and paper copies, so let me know if you're interested in getting your story out there. You can respond here, call 361-580-6511 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
