The first in a series of stakeholder-based planning workshops -- Planning for the Future of San Antonio Bay -- will be hosted by the San Antonio Bay Partnership on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, 9:00 a.m. to noon, at the The University of Houston – Victoria, in the Multi Purpose Room, located on the First Floor of the University Center, 3007 N Ben Wilson St, Victoria, TX, 77901. The public is invited to attend and provide input on this effort to design a plan to “protect, restore and enhance the natural resources and human uses of the San Antonio Bay system”

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss: • the need for a plan • what the plan might look like • the scientific basis for planning and decision making • progress on the Status and Trends Reports being prepared on the ecological and economic resources of the San Antonio Bay System • the importance of stakeholder input • what resources and tools are available to assist in the planning process, and • the next steps in the process
