Blogs » The Garcia Girls Go To The Movies » Look to Watch in September

Well, August has only a couple of days left in it. September not only brings about my wonderful son's 3rd birthday, but it also brings about some pretty good titles to the theater. I think I just may catch a few to of them.

I'm hearing from many that they can't wait to watch The Words with Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, and Dennis Quaid. It's a story about a writer, which hits home for me, who, at the top of his career, may pay a price for steeling another man's work. Interesting. I've seen some previews and it looks like a slow movie to me, but you never know.

Hope Springs starring Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones (my fave), and Steve Carell is one that i definatly want to go see. Meryl and Tommy play a married couple devoted to each other, nice to see, but after years of marriage, Meryl's character is wanting to spice things up and reconnect with her husband so they go to a councelor played by Steve Carell. This movie, just by the cast alone, looks like great fun. I can't wait.

Yet another Resident Evil movie will be coming out, Resident Evil: Revolution. Michelle comes back in this, those of you who are fans know what I am talking about. I can't handle zombie movies. They scare me. Yes, I admit it. However, this series does not. I don't know why.

The Perks of Being a Wallfower starring Emma Watson from the Harry Potter movies is set to open Nationwide 9/14/12. It's a story about finding your fit in high school. Good timing for the release. I watched a trailor, and it looks good. It's put out by Summit Entertainment so I expect it to be an experience.

A new take on Judge Dredd will be out 9/21/12 called Dredd starring Karl Urban. I saw a preview for it at Expendables 2. It will be in 3D and has some pretty good action in it. I remember Karl from Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, and, of course, The Bourne Supremacy. He's a good watch.

Clint Eastwood stars in a new movie, The Trouble With the Curve, and it's set to hit theaters 9/21/12 as well. I like Clint, both classic and new. He's vintage.

House at the End of the Street looks like a go see for me. I love a good suspense movie. You know, those kind in which you have no idea what's about to pop out from where but you know it is so you are hanging on to the edge of your seat. Yeah, I really like those.

Looper stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, a fave of mine, and Bruce Willis, another fave of mine. It's a science finction movie with some action. Levitt plays a young Bruce Willis' character, and there's time travel involved and it's a matter of life and death, and I think I may have trouble keeping up with the plot but I sure am going to try lol.

Hotel Transyvania looks like a bunch of fun. It stars the voices of Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Adam Samberg, and Selena Gomez. Dracula, played by Sandler, runs a resort for monsters to get away from it all at, and everything gets out of control when he finds out that a boy from the human world has discovered his resort and fallen for his daughter. It looks like a lot of laughs will be had with this one.

Phew, September is look pretty good, huh. I've got my list to go watch. What's on your list?
