Well, here we are in August, and the summer is coming to a close. It has been a fun summer. or movies in 2013. Here are some movies to close out the summer with.

Disney's Planes It's already in theatres, and it's already a pretty big hit. Each character has a talented voice behind it. There's John Cleese, Brad Garrett, Dane Cook, Cedric the Entertainer, Sinbad, and Val Kilmer. It's a cute story about a crop duster plane that longs to be a racer and his journey to make it happen. It kept the kids entertained, but for me the story was lacking, even for a kid's movie.

Jobs Ashton Kutcher takes on the role of Steve Jobs, the man who changed the world of technoogy. It is on my go see list. Ashton is much better in the less comedic roles. Don't get me wrong. He has comedy down to perfection, but he definitely has a talent for the whole spectrum of movies genre. Some of my faves are Butterfly Effect, New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, and The Guardian. I aslo enjoued Killers. Ashton should definitely do more action. On a side note Katherine Heigl, also from Killers and from 27 Dresses, should drop comedy and do some drama/suspense.

Kick-ass 2 The more I see the trailors for this movie, the more I want to go see it. Who doesn't enjoy a good fighting underdog movie? It looks like a fun action comedy. I didn't see the first one, I am definitely going to see this one.

Lee Daniels' The Butler This one stars Forest Whitaker, Jason Marsden, and the one and only Oprah. It's the story of a White House butler and all the historic events he and his family are witness to during his employment. I would not be surprised if this one receives a nomination.

Paranoia Liam Hemsworth is lining his career with some pretty big names, and now he is adding Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman. This looks to be a good suspense thriller. Ford and Oldman never disappoint, and Hemsworth is following suit so far.

The Mortal Instruments Another novel to big screen movie. The story is strong. I have hopes for this one. If you liked Beautiful Creatures, you will enjoy this one. I look forward to sequels on both.

Well, that about sums it up for the month of August. Like I said, it's been a fun summer at the movies. Hope y'all can say the same.
