The Museum of the Coastal Bend is putting on their boots and coming to Bootfest!

We will be reprising the exhibit, Harold Nichols: A Texas State of Mind, in the lobby at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Victoria starting on October 6, 2012 from noon to 8 p.m. The exhibit includes watercolors, acrylics and bronze sculpture by acclaimed Victoria artist, Harold Nichols.

So, while you are enjoying the music and festivities at DeLeon Plaza for Bootfest 2012, mosey on over to the Welder and enjoy this wonderful tribute to the great tradition of ranching in Texas by a very talented artist.

Harold Nichols will be on hand to meet and greet the public from 5-6 p.m. on October 6th. If you are unable to make it during Bootfest, the exhibit will be open Monday - Friday Oct 6-12th from noon-6 p.m. We hope to see you there!

And by the way -if you want to see some of the fun community events that the Museum of the Coastal Bend hosts, come out to the Victoria College quad on Thursday, October 4th for our BENT STICKS atlatl club demonstration. Don't know what an atlatl is? Then by all means, you must come see what the fun is all about. It's free and open to the public on Oct. 4th from 1-2:30 p.m.

Who knows, you might find that you have a hidden talent!
