The May 2008 Joint Election will have many political jurisdictions involved. These include; Victoria ISD, Victoria College, Drainage District No. 2, Drainage District No. 3, Water Control & Improvement District No. 1, Water Control & Improvement District No. 2, and Quail Creek Municipal Utility District. Every voter will have a special ballot. There are also further divisions within the districts. Victoria ISD has two trustee positions. Victoria College has three trustee positions. Drainage District No. 2 has three places on the ballot.

May elections have typically involved school and water districts although a change in the law has altered this as well. The school district boundaries are the principle dividing lines for these elections. This creates changes in polling locations for some voters.
