On Monday, April 30th the Main Early Voting polling location for the May 12, 2012 Joint Election will open at 8:00 am. The Victoria County Elections Office is used for early voting in person and is located at 111 N. Glass in downtown Victoria next to the Victoria County Sheriff's Office. Early voting in person will be open each weekday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm through Tuesday, May 8th.

Extended hours for early voting in person will be held on Friday, May 4th and Tuesday, May 8th. On these two days the Main Early Voting polling place will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The Joint Election is being held by the City of Victoria, Victoria College, Water Control & Improvement Districts 1 & 2 and the Quail Creek Municipal Utility District. Only candidates and issues related to the city, college and water districts will be on the May 12th ballot.

Three additional temporary branch early voting sites will open on Monday and Tuesday, May 7th and 8th. The temporary sites will be open from 8:00 until 5:00 pm only on the last two days of early voting. The Water Control & Improvement District No. 1 office located in Bloomington at 93 Illinois Street. The Water Control & Improvement District No. 2 office is located in Placedo at 91 Preston Street. The Quail Creek Municipal Utility District office is located at 515 Chukar Street.

Any Victoria County registered voter may vote during early voting. Individuals must bring some form of identification such as a voter registration card or a driver's license. You may also use a certified copy of your birth certificate or a US Passport or even citizenship papers.
