Well the 2011 heat wave is number one anyway. On Tuesday when the temperature hit 100 -- it eventually reached 102 -- a record was broken that had been held 100 years. It marked the 17th consecutive day of at least 100 degrees in Victoria. The eclipsed record was set in August 1911. And today, Wednesday, will likely be the 18th. How long can this go on? The forecast for the rest of the week looks like we'll top 20 days in a row with no problem and 25 is probably not out of the question. Wouldn't it be wild if EVERY day in August was at or above 100? I'm not sure I've ever looked more forward to the leaves changing color and the cooler weather. But at least we're record setters. I'll keep you posted on how high that bar is set.
