Although Hurricane Isaac is expected to remain well east of South Texas, its effect will be felt in the coastal waters. The National Weather Service is warning of dangerous rip tides and possible coastal flooding along the middle Texas Coast through Wednesday morning because of the storm. Counties affected could include Calhoun and Aransas. As of 7 a.m., a hurricane warning was in effect east of Morgan City, La. to the Alabama-Florida border including New Orleans.
