But, seriously, I think Texas A&M is an excellent university. That's why I'm speaking later today to students working on the college newspaper, The Battalion.

We have three Aggies in our newsroom, David Tewes, Allison Miles and Jack Molitor. I met Jack during my visit to A&M last year when he was working on The Battalion. They invite me to speak about what professional journalists are doing, but I get the best end of the deal. I get to ask smart college students what they think about the future of the news media and recruit the best ones to join our newsroom.

One of the topics we'll be discussing is the use of social networking by news sites. As regular readers know, I've been blogging about this topic lately as part of my course at the Knight Digital Media Center.
