Blogs » Your Advocate: an editor's blog » Where do you turn for 24/7 hurricane information?

With the tropics heating up, we encourage you to regularly visit our online hurricane section.

The section features an Ibis Eye tracking map, which is full of activity. Tropical storm Claudette popped up Sunday and headed for northern Florida. Tropical storm Ana is still out in the Atlantic, but its trajectory might concern us more.

The section also features a Twitter feed from the National Weather Service that is updated around the clock and helpful preparedness information for hurricane season.

Should a storm threaten our region, we'll move all of this information and more to our home page for easier access. We also anticipate using our new digital edition should a storm prevent us from delivering the print edition.

Let's hope we need none of this information.
