Bethany Hamilton made international news when a tiger shark tore off her left arm while she was surfing in Hawaii. She was only 13.

That might have been the end of the story, but Bethany captured the public's imagination with her fighting spirit. Only three months later, she was back on the water competing.

Her story inspired a popular movie, "Soul Surfer," and has taken her around the world speaking to fans. Most recently, she has been in Japan, Spain and New York City. Next week, she will be in Victoria.

Yes, you read that right. Hamilton will be in Victoria to speak at a benefit for the Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity. She will be on stage at 7 p.m. June 14 at Faith Family Church. Tickets are $15, $20 and $25. She also will appear that day at a luncheon at the Victoria Country Club. Tickets for the lunch are $50.

What would you like to ask Hamilton? I have the privilege of asking her questions on stage with Advocate columnist Myra Starkey. Like everyone else, I am a fan of all Hamilton has accomplished.

Both intimidated and eager to meet her, I could use your help. What would you ask Hamilton? What questions will best show her remarkable personality and astonishing drive to persevere? What will reveal her humanity?

Add your questions here. I'll look for you June 14 at Faith Family.
