Industrial ISD trustees to meet Thursday

The Industrial Independent School District Board of Trustees will hold its regular monthly meeting Thursday.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the Industrial ISD Administration Building, 216 Fifth St.

Trustees will hear several administrative updates, including reports on student enrollment and district personnel. Board members will also receive information about upcoming professional development opportunities, including the Region III Spring Board Conference scheduled for May 13 and the Summer Leadership Institute planned for June 10–13 in San Antonio.

The board is also expected to recognize members of the boys basketball team and teachers who received Teacher Incentive Allotment designations.

Other items on the agenda include approval of the minutes from the Feb. 17 board meeting, review of the February financial statement and consideration of donations.

Trustees will also consider certification of unopposed candidates and the cancellation of the upcoming board election.

Additional action items include consideration of a dual-enrollment partnership agreement with Victoria College for the 2026–27 and 2027–28 academic years.

Personnel matters — including employment, contract renewals, resignations and other staffing changes — will also be discussed.

The board may also deliberate student discipline matters during the meeting.

The next regular board meeting is scheduled for April 20 at 6 p.m. in the administration boardroom.
