Kiwanis KidzFest Returns to Victoria on March 21

The Kiwanis Club is bringing creativity, imagination, and discovery to the forefront with the return of Kiwanis KidzFest, a free, family-friendly festival designed to engage children of all ages through hands-on activities, live demonstrations, games, and performances. The event will bring families together with free barbeque from Sparkman Industries, free ice cream from Green Cow Creamery, free popcorn, pickles, snow cones from Q.I.C.K Snacks, drinks, and much more.
Scheduled for March 21, 2026, KidzFest will transform the Riverside Special Events Area across from Riverside Stadium into an interactive festival where children are encouraged to explore their interests, try new things, and actively participate rather than simply observe.
“At its core, KidzFest is about creating opportunities for kids to discover what excites them,” said Thomas Gwosdz, President of the Kiwanis Club. “Whether that’s art, music, science, animals, or simply playing and having fun, this event reflects Kiwanis’ mission to serve children while strengthening our community.”
The heart of the event is the KID Zone, an immersive experience organized around three themed areas — Creation, Imagination, and Discovery — all surrounding a central activity stage that will host rotating demonstrations, contests, and performances throughout the day.
“KidzFest is intentionally designed to be interactive,” said Cody Bauman, Vice President of Kiwanis. “Kids aren’t just watching from the sidelines — they’re performing, participating, building, creating, and engaging directly with local artists, educators, and organizations. That’s where the real impact happens.”
Families attending KidzFest can expect a wide variety of activities, with over 30 different interactive booths including art demonstrations, robotics, 3D printing, music, animal encounters, emergency vehicle displays, bounce houses, games, and a kids talent show.

According to Event Director Karalyn Jones, collaboration has been key to bringing the festival to life.
“This event is only possible because of the incredible support from local nonprofits, schools, businesses, and volunteers,” Homan said. “We’ve worked to create an environment that feels welcoming, safe, and exciting for families, a place where kids can be curious and parents can enjoy watching them learn and grow.”
Kiwanis KidzFest is free and open to the public. Organizers encourage families to arrive early and plan to spend the day exploring and enjoying the rotating activities.
